C/S Project Showcase: Taipei 101
Taipei 101 is one of the world’s tallest buildings standing at a height of 1,667 ft. and it is the first supertall structure to be built in an active seismic zone. C/S Model SSR seismic floor covers and coordinating seismic wall covers, Model LAS, are installed where the building’s podium meets the tower. This configuration allows the 101-floor tower to move independently from the five-story podium since the tower’s sway is far greater. In conjunction with the floor covers, C/S’s FB-97 Fire Barrier with lateral shear capabilities are used to meet the building’s shear movement criteria
